This is a goal we all strive for, especially those of us in the story-telling or message-making worlds. We strive to be understood – verdad? And that much is understandable. What would we be if not understood? But to stand on the shoulders of those that came before us and continue simply to believe that shouting louder more often is the way to best get our ideas across – that we must tell EXTREME stories of EXTREME survival in EXTREME conditions – is a misunderstanding at best. To be understandably understood is to understate the obvious and to feature the unexplored – to bring light to those far flung crevices of things that happen everyday that nobody seems to notice but everybody endures.
